Our classes are fun and engaging. We do NOT start a video and walk out of the room. You participate, you laugh, and you learn with other members of the community who care about safety and saving lives! Yes, we have fun in all our classes!

CPR/AED Class

Certification Period: 2 Years

 

Class Options:

  • All CPR/AED Classes include Adult, Child, and Infant.

 

Course Length: 1 - 3 Hours

Intended Audience for CPR/AED and CPR/AED & First Aid

Individuals who are not healthcare providers or professional rescuers but who desire, or are required, to be certified in CPR and the use of an AED:

  • Sports Coaches

  • Fitness Professionals (Personal Trainers, Yoga Instructors, Pilates Instructors)

  • Dance Coaches

  • Martial Artist Instructors

  • Camp Counselors

  • Teachers

  • Parents

  • Foster Parents, Foster Care 

  • Adoptive Parents 

  • Babysitters

  • Nannies

  • Adult residential care personnel

 

CPR/AED (Adult, Child, Infant) & First Aid 

 

This class adds First Aid. Topics including bleeding, tourniquet use, open wounds, burns, shock, abdominal injuries, head (concussion), neck and back injuries, EpiPen use, asthma, allergies, bee stings, spider and snake bites, heat/cold injuries and more! This includes the entire Stop the Bleed class.

Certification Period: 2 Years

Course Length: 3+ Hours

Foster Care/Adoptive Parents:

We specialize in helping future and current foster care parents satisfy the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) requirement for CPR and First Aid certification. This certification must be obtained prior to becoming a Foster/Adoptive parent and for Foster Parents it must be renewed every two years. Click here for more information.

First Aid Only

BLS (Basic Life Support)

 

BLS is for Health Care Providers. Students learn how to recognize a life-threatening emergency, how to provide basic life support and what to do in case of an airway obstruction or choking. ASHI's Basic Life Support, BLS training course  for Healthcare Providers and Professional Rescuers has been approved for training for Emergency Medical Services personnel and is accepted by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT).
