CPR/AED (Adult, Child, Infant) & First Aid Certification Class* 

 

This class adds First Aid and meets the requirements of OSHA First Aid Standard 29 CFR 1910.151, Texas Administrative Code §746.1315, and Rule §749.911. Topics including bleeding, tourniquet use, open wounds, burns, shock, abdominal injuries, head (concussion), neck and back injuries, EpiPen use, asthma, allergies, bee stings, spider and snake bites, heat/cold injuries and more! This includes Stop the Bleed®.

Certification Period: 2 Years

Course Length: 3+ Hours

Child Care Workers: 

Our course meets the Texas Administrative Code §746.1315 and Rule §749.911 requirements for CPR training for childcare workers.

Foster Care/Adoptive Parents:

We specialize in helping future and current foster care parents satisfy the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) requirement for CPR and First Aid certification. This certification must be obtained prior to becoming a Foster/Adoptive parent and for Foster Parents it must be renewed every two years. Click here for more information.

BLS (Basic Life Support) - Healthcare Provider CPR Certification Class*

 

Certification Period: 2 Years

 

Course Length: 1 - 3 Hours

BLS is for Healthcare Providers. Students learn how to recognize a life-threatening emergency, how to provide basic life support and what to do in case of an airway obstruction or choking. ASHI's Basic Life Support, BLS training course for Healthcare Providers and Professional Rescuers has been approved for training for Emergency Medical Services personnel and is accepted by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) and accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Pre-Hospital Continuing Education (CAPCE, formerly CECBEMS). This course requires the student pass a written test administered immediately after class completion. 

Please confirm that the ASHI/HSI certification which Rockwall CPR provides is accepted by your institution/employer BEFORE you register for a class.

CPR, AED, First Aid Instructor Development Course

 

The CPR, AED & First Aid Instructor Development Course by HSI (Health & Safety Institute) is comprised of a 4 - 8 hour online cognitive training segment followed by a 4 - 6 hour, in-person, Instructor-led course right here in Rowlett and Rockwall. Once you complete the course you will be able to certify individuals in CPR, AED and/or First Aid. Additional courses, such as BLS can be added on as well.

*Cancellations/Refunds

  • If you cancel at least 48 hours before class, your payment may be applied to a future class or refunded. Credit card returns: Any fees incurred (transaction fees) by Rockwall CPR will be subtracted from your refund.

  • If you cancel LESS THAN 48 hours before class, your payment may be applied to a future class or refunded. If you request a refund, you will receive the amount you paid MINUS a $25.00 cancellation fee. No additional fees will apply if you reschedule your class.

  • If you cancel LESS THAN 24 hours before class or do not attend class, your full payment is non-refundable. 

  • THERE ARE NO REFUNDS AFTER YOU COMPLETE A CLASS. 

  • My "One Strike" Rule: If you have a valid reason for your no-show and re-register for a future class, I will apply your payment to that class. Please contact me within 24 hours after the scheduled class about the no-show. If I do not hear from you within 24 hours after the scheduled class, your payment will be non-refundable. If you choose to register for a new class, you must pay for that class in full.

  • PRIVATE CLASS REFUND POLICY: Once the class is scheduled, payment is due immediately. There are no refunds for private classes after they are scheduled and paid.
